What Is Microblading?

Microblading (or eyebrow embroidery) is a relatively new technique for enhancing eyebrows using a very fine blade to deposit pigments into the epidermis. It is a manual technique that creates hair-like strokes that are crisp and fine. The results are natural-looking, hair-like strokes, regardless of the amount of hair present.  Microblading is considered a semi-permanent procedure with results typically lasting 12-18 months depending on how the client cares for the treated area.

Microblading is ideal for anyone wanting to enhance the look of their eyebrows.  People with alopecia, post-menopausal women with thinning hair, or any other condition that causes hair loss, will benefit greatly from Microblading, as well as anyone who simply is not happy with their eyebrows.

The pigments used in this method have been formulated to match your original eyebrow color, and if the eyebrows are still present, blend perfectly into them.

Does It Hurt?

Pain tolerance varies among patients. Therefore, some discomfort is associated with the procedure. Patients will be numbed 30-45 minutes prior with a topical anesthetic.

What to Expect After the Procedure?

It is normal for the skin to feel tender or sensitive for a few days. As part of the healing process, the brows will flake and form scabs that will fall off. Adhering to the post-treatment instructions will greatly reduce any discomfort.

Initially, the brows will appear darker but fade significantly over a two-week period. This is normal. It is absolutely crucial to have a touch up done within the first 30-60 days, as it is very difficult to predict how well the skin will retain the pigment. The cost of the first touch up is included in your initial price. Touch-ups after the 60-day period are not included. A repeat enhancement is recommended approximately once per year to retain the beautiful shape and color of your new eyebrows.
